Coaching is a practice to take you (as the client) from where you are to where you want to get to
A great coach will "hold up a mirror" to yourself - they will ask great questions to unpick your true needs and support you to overcome blockers that are holding you back from reaching your full potential
Our Meraki Coach, Jane Dixon comes from a corporate (FMCG) background and has herself experienced many leadership challenges. She has further trained with an ICF accredited company to develop her broader behavioural coaching techniques and loves to work with clients to achieve lasting change and success.
Jane is passionate about developing trusted relationships and would love to meet with potential new clients to explain how the conversation would work and share a few examples of the types of coaching topics you might like to bring.
Differences between Therapy and Coaching
Whilst both approaches focus on listening to understand the person and support them, therapy and coaching do offer distinct approaches to personal development and wellbeing. Therapy more likely focuses on healing past wounds and addressing mental health conditions, while coaching emphasises setting and achieving goals for the future.
Therapy often delves into the past to understand the present whilst coaching is more about future personal and professional growth
Therapy aims for healing and symptom reduction while coaching focuses on goal achievement and performance enchancement.
